Nearly everyone saw already times that there are “flying things” in brickmovies. Someone falls down a wall, jumps from a tree, a window. But one cannot see ropes, no stones hidden the stop give, no - one can even more look among them. But first: There is no correct solution, in addition, no wrong. The kinds are also so diverse, then there are nevertheless a few “basic practices”.
Here now becomes BertL´s version, taken as basis to let
things fly.
Basisc-knowledge:
- with Picture-Software that can handle layers (e.g. Photoshop, Gimp)
- with a software that can convert frames/stills to video (e.g. Virtual Dub)
Generally: This method is particularly suitable for short sequences, in which is no much background to be retouched, and/or, an object in the foreground to be retouched is.
This kind of the treatment of picture for pictures is called “Rotoscoping”.
